Arturo Fuente Anejo Reserva 48

The Añejo Reserva is a slight variation on the OpusX blend, and it’s a special release from Arturo Fuente that typical falls around Father’s Day and Christmas. After the destruction of Hurricane George in the late 1990s, Fuente suffered from a shortage of OpusX wrapper leaf. To accommodate, they covered the same Dominican binder and fillers in five-year-old Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers that had aged in cognac barrels, and the Añejo Reserva line was born. The Añejo Reserva Maduro trades the original wrapper for one of Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro.
